How We Came To Be
Vancouver, WA - Ann Gilbert, founder of Still Botanics, is on a mission to provide clean, plant-derived skincare products that actually work. After struggling with an uncommon form of rosacea in her early 20s, Gilbert discovered that most of the big beauty brands use harsh chemicals and ingredients that can irritate and inflame the skin. This includes the steroid creams prescribed by her dermatologist as well as well known “gentle” or "natural" drugstore brands.
Having exhausted countless products without success, Ann took matters into her own hands, immersing herself in the art of skincare formulation. Her plan was to source many of her natural ingredients locally from the Pacific Northwest, incorporating fresh botanicals with plant-based actives to create a truly modern approach to natural skincare.
Now, at 37 years old, she has the best skin of her life thanks to her natural skincare products, and many of her customers feel the same way.
"Countless customers have made the switch from big brands like Beauty Counter, Rodan and Fields, Cetaphil, CeraVe, etc. to Still Botanics," Gilbert said. "Not only do my customers see a significant improvement in the health and appearance of their skin, some of them are relieved to finally find something that works well into their 60s! Talk about a lifelong journey."
Gilbert believes that her focus on local, fresh ingredients is what sets her brand apart from Big Beauty. By supporting local farmers and small businesses, she is not only able to create high-quality products, but also contribute to the sustainable growth of the community.
"I would love to collaborate with other health and wellness brands to share my passion for helping people understand natural skincare and the importance of sourcing local," Gilbert said. "Together, we can inspire readers to have hope that they too will find natural products that can actually help them."
